Ive been getting a disc unreadable message on most of my games. Not all. I have been trying to wait it out....I guess Im in denial. Will I have to call for the coffin?IIJuggaNottII
It will progressively get worse. Unless there's a game you just can't stop playing for a couple weeks I'd send it off.
Had RROD in March. Microsoft returns a new 360 in April. Two and a half months later, I get one flashing red light. When the console fired up, it said E69, and then on another occasion I got E71. And then on another occasion I got E79. Maybe they're all similar?
I just bought a new HDTV on top of this and can't test it out until I get the 360 back. I don't feel like buying a PS3 or a Wii. I can't afford owning all of the systems these days.
Here's something that could be important: In March I got the RROD after playing CoD4 9 (single player-Veteran difficulty) all day long. Then I just got the one flashing light after playing the same game, but playing multiplayer all day long. CoD4 must really be a demanding game to run!
I need a both A and B answer. Let me explain.
I got the RRoD, then i did the towel trick while i was waiting for my coffin, then when it broke again i got E 74, which is what my first console got.
My xbox had the unreadable disk error and my warrenty expired a month before it happend. I open the xbox and fixed it myself.
Works good as new.8)
so what did you do to it? Im calling for the coffin tomorrow. Im getting sick of the darn thing giving me the error. It works on some games.....but on the majority of my games...nada. IIJuggaNottII
If you still have your warrenty I dont think that you should try to fix it.
RROD and the count is 8 on first 360 vs 22 havig died for some reason. Man thats exactly 30%....... HmmmCorporateHammerman that's crazy. hope you're luckier with your new 360
what the hell is e74luvmesomchickenwhen the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) becomes loose or fried - look it up on youtube its worse than the RROD in that not only is your console just as much of a brick, but its not covered under the 360's 3-year extended warranty and is a $100 charge to repair
