Kinect fails to recognize me everytime...so I turn off signing in with kinect and save password..and I still get prompted to sign in everytime I boot up...any ideas? What settings do I need to change?
Try calibrating your kinect, also when it doesn't recognize you, you can manually sign. Once you do this you can select I wasn't recognized. It will get better at recognizing you. It's been cold in my house so I've been ether wearing a hoodie with the hood up or a hat. It didn't recognize me a few times but now no mater what I have on it sees and recognizes me. I suppose the more you use the better learns who you are.
As of now you cannot auto sign in without using the Kinect. While is is an annoying oversight I have no doubt it'll be added in the systems first major patch.
In my case Kinect doesn't have problems recognizing me (Minus taking a couple of seconds) so it's fine at the moment to deal with.
No auto sign in? That is pretty lame. I had high hopes for Kinect but between using it as a controller, signing in and voice commands it does not even work half the time. I tried turning it off but then you get a big disconnect icon on every screen. When I game I sit in a recliner and Kinect does not recognize me until I sit up, almost getting out of the chair. I do hope they add auto sign in. I just want to use the unit, not spend time training not ready for prime time technology.

That's really funny, Kinect works great for me, signs me in before the screen makes it to the TV. You have to be doing something really wrong or yours is defective!
