How do i lower my ping?

My ping is 110 and I get 20 mbps and 3.5 upload. I am lagging a little when i play online and i want to know how to fix it. Is it because of my ping? If so, how do i lower it to a good level? Thanks.

Things that factor ping. Internet connection, downloading/uploading files while gaming, playing wirelessly, your location from the actual server.

router may factor. fix a setting called wan ping blocking on it(****** wireless G router) and click block ICMP Ping and apply

my ping is always more thn 220..:(
