Yeah, so if you have live, and a friend comes over and wants to play also.. you have to go to the dashboad and make him a profile. Then you can go into the game and sign him in with that profile so he can play on your GT with you. And it will show up like that, with a (1) or something like that next to your gamertag.
somewhere when signing into a game's multiplayer... there is an option to invite a guest. for example: in Gears of War before you choose to play in a player or ranked match, on the bottom it says press (Y) to sign in a guest.
but not all games allow you to have a friend play with you.
I think it mostly depends on what game it is, because for some games it didn't work for me and other it did. Or maybe i was just doing something wrong i don't know. All i know is that its possible with Gears of War, and a couple other games
with some games you can play online with a guest account and you get something like gamertag(1)
jut boot up the game, sign in, and sign in with the second player as you would normaly do but then choose guest from the userlist( if supported by game).
yea can only do it on games like Gears of War, Call of Duty 2 and 3, or (i think) GRAW 2... but you do NOT need to sign in before you insert the disk. usually somewhere in the multiplayer menu there is option that allows other controllers to GUEST sign in.
for instance if you have a popular game called Gears of War all you have to do is turn on both controllers, sign in urself, insert the Gears of War disc, go to multiplayer, then playermatches, then have your other controller press "Y" and select the guest option (careful not to choose the 1st option because then he will have just switched places with you), then enter a match like any other and there will be two of you.
