How do people use the UMP? MW2

Its probaply the most over used gun in the game, more than half my deaths are from it but when I try and use it I can't. The recoil is terrible (I heard holographic decreases recoil, is this true?) When aiming down the sights and you move left and right, it moves around so much i can't keep the sights on target (can someone tell me what this is called it does it to the AUG also). This gun also seems to be the main staple for GB also other than ACR and FAM16.

no offense, but dont suck so hard. one of the best mid range/short range weapons in the game

TLDR, I don't know why you can't use it. The high recoil is counterbalanced by it's high damage (it will kill in 2-3 shots no matter what).

Me: Hip fire Shotgun kill! boom kills guy before he fires.

Pretty everyone aims down the sights. Hip spray pretty bad.

Hahaha how can he not take offense to that? And to answer the thread question, I hate the UMP also. I think it's a terrible gun. It's all preference. I love using the MP5 with extended mags. Much much MUCH better than the UMP for MY PERSONAL STYLE OF PLAY. Again, it's all preference.

I dunno. It has recoil, but it is a very very powerful gun. Easily the best SMG in basically any situation, and as good as many assault rifles (although the role of the UMP is different then that of an assault rifle). It kills in 3 shots NO MATTER WHAT, at any range, and it will kill with 2 shots with stopping power to the chest at close range. It has recoil, I guess it's just getting used to it. Try burst firing it (tapping the trigger to fire a few shots at once) if your going at long range. However, except for at long range the recoil shouldnt be much of a problem... the burst firing is only needded for precise shooting across the map

It's a great silenced weapon, silenced ump is one of my most used classes.

Not using a certain gun doesn't make you bad, kid.

the thing that moves the gun around is called recoil.

to reduce the recoil use a silencer with it, the main reason why the gun is so popular is because without stopping power its still just as strong

It's an ok gun but I don't use it much. I prefer to stick with a silenced SCAR-H.

Just fire in burst its bad to hold the trigger all the way

Half the people who use it run around spraying on 10 sensitivity(Since all of their kills are based on who can get to their sight quicker and spraying)and think it means they're good. It's annoying as balls.

Fast rate of fire + stupidly powerful for a sub machine gun at any range. Seems like just about every person who is a high rank/hacked their rank use it to try and justify them being a high rank. It ruins the game for me.

I don't use it. I prefer the Intervention or Barrett.

Don't hold down the trigger when using the UMP45: fire in shorth bursts.Black_Knight_00
