i am just wondering what exactly decides how many stars you have on your rep - i know it reflects how many people prefer/avoid you, but why is almost every player 5 stars? i rarely see a player below 4 stars
It's really easy to get up to 5 stars early on as it only takes 3 or 4 prefers to do it. The more prefers you get, the harder it is to drop below that 5 star rating. Basically, as long as you're not a jerk online, you will probably get up to 5 stars pretty quickly.
You talking to me? If so, I've had my 360 since July of last year and most of those games are XBL Arcade games that I downloaded but didn't buy. I only own 4 games. :)
Just ask a few people to give you positive feedback and that will push you stars up to 5. If someone give you negative feedback then your stars will go down.Â

as soon as a started playing on line i got five stars. i still have 0% bad feedback... which is strange... becuase i talk a lot of s#!% when i am pistol whipping people on gears of war when playing ranked matches... it seems by now i should have some. but i guess i dont cuss as much as others. or maybe i just sounds like i am joking when i talk smack. wish you could see how many people have sent you feed back.
I joined Xbox Live almost 4 months ago and I still have a 3-Star Rep. I find it hard to believe anyone can get a 5-star rep in two days of playing online. I have had 13 reviews from players i played with and I have 81% preferred and 19% avoided me. I heard it only took 5 ratings no matter negative or positive to increase your rep to five stars but I have had 13 of them! This rep system seems to be destroyed but I still want a 5 star rep. I sometimes get avoided just because I accidentally betray a teammate and they just start killing me the rest of the game. I have had this experience playing Halo:Reach Grifball. I will be most appreciative if anyone can help me increase my rep to a 5 star, if it is even possible now. Can you help me out? My gamertag is: Hawkeye 173 Thanks!
THE MOST useless crap microsoft has every invented. that should be removed. last time i check i am only preferred 2% and avoid is 98 lol and i still have 5 stars....
The Rep system is broken and anyone who plays more than 5 matches in a multiplayer game will be at 5 stars and never dropped.
The rep system works as a negative = -1,noreview= +1, and a positive = +2. Since I assume 95% of the gaming community doesn't bother with it that's a lot of +1s in those 16 people big team battles in Halo.
Even the most annoying, rude, and down right racist players all run around with 5 stars.
You'll be at 5 stars soon enough but it's a pointless system so don't get to excited once you are.
