you should set goals.you know no to extrememy friend has core USED.and well he plays about
2-3 hours minimum
and
4-6 hours the most.
well thats HIS way.for me.i turn it off when i know ill be gone for 5 mins.because they should figure out why this happens.and btw some 360s get it from extended play not all.like what that guy i saying.his isnt but someone elses is.just be cautius and TAKE BREAKS!
You cant and there is no point getting all worked up and worrying about it you only hear about the people who have trouble you don't hear about the 100s of thousands of people who's consoles haven't and may never given then any grief! ;)adamus007
seriously if everyone posted about their 360 NOT breaking everyday you wouldnt be able to see the broken xbox threads, or the game threads for that matter
still could someone give me some times i want to be cautious man. (srry for double post).PS2_PC_FAN
Just remember that the heat is the console's biggest enemy, keep it in well ventilated areas and take some breaks between gaming sessions. Also, don't buy any coolers or anything of the sort, if it's not certified by Microsoft the don't use it on your console.
i guess it's a little different from people to people .. how long do you plan on playing? do you plan on playing 4-6hrs/day or just a couple of hours here and there? :)
Im waiting on #2 to come back....when i got rock band my 360 never got a rest. I think tho you know its about to happen because your windows will freeze and simple functions will take longer, i thought it was my internet/router and i tried twinking that then a few days later i cried cause i saw the red, just make sure your little white baby gets a lot of ventelation i think thats the key
Well you can't really, if it's going to happen there's nothing to you can do to stop it. I'd recommend getting a in store warranty for two years, then if it breaks you can excahnge it right away and not have to wait like 2-3 weeks for a new consoleScarface_tm431Yep, just try to keep it ventilated...
The 360 is a hopeless case, read the full article in this thread from a Microsoft insider:

If there were something you could do to avoid it means that there's something that all of these people are doing to cause it. Mine RROD'd and I took extremely good care of it. It worked well for a year and a half, then when I downloaded the latest firmware it never came on after the reboot.
About all you can do is maintain the service contract once the 3 year warranty expires. That's what I plan to do.
