It depends on the game. Such as Halo 3 will allow you to play social matches with a guest. However, not many games offer the guest spot feature.

It depends on the game. Some will let you, some won't. In Halo 3, for example, you just need to have one person sign in with a Live profile and the rest select the Guest profile.

halo will let you play ranked as well. but you need to have multiple gold accounts on the same xbox to do it, in effect paying twice or more times. unless ya use a trial as ur xbox will give ya a free month like. halo3 definetally lets ya play over live split screen. call of duty 3 also lets you, fifa08 lets you have 2 players on same team on fifa over live. cant think of any other games off the top of my head that let you play split screen over live

Another game that can do this is Rock band. As you go into the player "band quickplay" matches, you will come to the local area "join-in" room, then you fill up the remaining spots with online people. And possibly the new Rainbow Six Vegas 2 may have local-guest online as well.

Halo has been "walkedthrough" if you want a Gears one - here it is... Log in the profile with live, go to the Versus menu and you will see that you have the option to log in a guest - I think it is the yellow Y button. You should then be able to splitscreen online on the "player" matches - not the ranked ones. Your friend will appear as "gamertag1"

Have fun!! :)

No. Orange Box is one player only per 360. No split screen. Only Team Fortress 2 is multiplayer, and only on Live or system link.
