How do you have fun w/ Oblivion

Currently exploring Shivering Isles.

i turn the difficulty way down get my player to max level and go on a deranged killing spree killing everyone then i get all achievements and turn it into gamestop for $15

Ive written bout this before but im still not really into oblivion. ive had a days worth of playing time but its mainly doing quests and the arena missions. i wanna know what ppl do when they play? i honestly think the combat isnt that great but i mite be doin something wrong. ne thoughts?nahmean187

yea thats what i thought. i liked mass effect, kotor, and fable but then again i guess those arent "real" rpgs. iono i actually bought oblivion twice. i got the reg game, then sold it to a friend, then got the goty bc i wanted to "get into" it. seemed like a great game i just couldnt get into it... still cant..

When I'm tired of questing, I turn the difficulty way down and assassinate EVERYONE.

I sneak up behind them, catch them in the head with an arrow, and yell, "BOOM! HEADSH0T!".

Emphasis mine. We were just talking about that. Mass Effect and KOTOR have much tighter narratives than Oblivion. In my opinion, Oblivion has a lot of breadth, but not a lot of depth. Oblivion's strength is in the enormous number of activities and quests in the game.

Try to get pet animals!! By having a bear or something chase you and lock it in a fenced area. I tried it with a minitour lord once...didnt turn out to good. I guess minitours CAN open gates..

I found the game to be fun at first when I was still finding my feet, but I thought the quests were repetitive and very similar to each other. The main story was too weak to hold my interest.

It seems it's a love hate thing I was expecting to love it from the reviews and what other people have said but I found myself very let down by the game.

try joining the dark brotherhood. That was a lot of fun. Other than that, you really have to use your imagination.

Exactly. You kinda have to think up a rational for the stuff you do in the game. My character joined the Dark Brotherhood in a period of regret and self-doubt after bascially murdering the Gray Prince in the Arena. Eventually, my story arc will have him redeem himself in the Knights of the Nine quest.

Im too poor to afford a house and I cant sell any of my valuables because the merchents dont have the money i ask for it. :( so i store it in my wizards tower that i had to buy with REAL money cuz i cant make any freaking fake money in some dumb game!! lol few... take it easy, take it easy... relax.
