I used to always buy those gold cards at Target, Gamesto, etc. It's a nice and simple way to get online, but recently I ran out again (I only buy 1-3 month cards at a time due to homework + school + being a Junior in high school SUCKS), and I didn't have the time to go to my local gamestop or target. So then I finally used the credit card method, and it's pretty damn easy! Don't have to go to that smelly gamestop ever again (until i crave for a game...which wont be long lol)

So how do you pay?

I love that we have options, I choose to pay with the pre-paid cards. I like to pay with cash so I use the cash to get the cards.

Credit card is a easy way to go, so you don't have to waste time or gas going to get a XBL card from Gamestop.

I don't know how it works in the US, but where I live you can't even cancel your Live subscription if you use credit cards. You make a call to MS to say you want to cancel your subscription; you get redirected about 8 times and then they say they will cancel it. Next thing you know, you recieve your credit card bill and it's still charging. You make a call and they either say you didn't request to cancel your subscription or they are still 'working on it'.

A friend of mine actually had to cancel his whole credit card all together to make the charges stop. He was getting charged nearly six months after he canceled it.

being a Junior in high school SUCKS

xxcommixx
You think that sucks? Try being a junior in college who is trying to get into a competitive graduate school But in all seriousness I usually get the cards. I go for the 12 + 1 month XBLcards cause I'm a big time spender...I guess.

This is exactly how it works in the US. I had a zune pass that was 15 a month. I sold the zune, so I attempted to cancel my pass. It took almost 4 months from the time I sold it to get them to stop billing me. I didnt end up paying for those four months, but on the 15th of every month, I would look at my bank statement online and sure enough they billed me.

So since I just got 360, I just bought a live card....that way when it runs out, I can choose to buy a new card or not use it.

Works that way in the US, happened to me several times... That is why I now do neither of the options to vote on... I buy points with my credit card, and then use the points to get a 13 month subscription.........

XBL Card. Because one time I used my credit card and I was going to let my subscription run out and get a new one with a new name....but they automatically charged me 50$ and I went over my limit....It made me upset, but I`m sure its in the user agreements or something.

I use a credit card because I can use it to buy MS points as well, because I DL a lot of TV shows, although the movie rental system is a complete rip off. It cost $5to rent a movie and you can only watch it once, but it's $2 for a tv show, and you get to keep it forever.

I use the prepaid cards, but since your a junior in HS I'm gonna guess that it wasn't your credit card you used and you probably wont be useing it all the time for your 360 needs so what you can do is get one of those visa, or master cards you get at drug stores and fill it up with some money and you wont have to worry about going to the store next time you need to buy live.
