How do you turn off the system?

I just got a 360 and i was wondering if i just push the button to turn it off when im done or do i have to shut it down like a computer?

I thought it was commong sense that the on button would be the off button. Much like a light switch. You just flip it.

Yes thats how ive been turning it off, but i was afraid i was doing it the wrong way and i might screw up the system, i was just making sure

Most of the time I just press the button on the 360 itself, but I sometimes I turn it off using the controller. Both are fine. Caddy06_88
