500 pre-orders, eh? How manyof thosecan a single GameStop/EBgames fill on a single shipment? It seems like a number that large would mean that not everyone would get one on the first shipment, but it's just an uneducated guess....and this is also Halo 3 we're talking about, which is THE biggest game in the industry, so they might've upped the ante on the supply.
My local GameStop is doing a midnight launch and I have no clue how many pre-orders they took, but I'm not going to make too much of a fuss over it. I'll get there around 11 p.m., but if they run out, then so be it. I have to work until 9 on Monday night, and have to be at work at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, so I sure won't mind trading sleep for Halo 3. If I don't get it that night, I'll check a few stores near the department and if they have a copy, I'll buy it and then just get a refund on my pre-order. Either way, I still have BioShock, Medal of Honor: Airborne, COD4 Beta, Metroid Prime 3, and a few other titles to enjoy until I get Halo 3.
The hell with standing in line for hours, it's just a game, not a system. :p....it's much easier to get an in-demandgame than an in-demand console.
