how elite is the XBOX Elite?

Im so damn tired of threads like this

XBOX 360 PREMIUM - $400, 20 gigabyte hard drive, no HDMI, headset, wireless controller, Component/Composite Cables

XBOX 360 Elite- $479, Black, 120 gigabyte hard drive, HDMI with cable, Component/Composit and Cables. Headset. Wireless Controller.

IMO the elite is a better deal 100 more gigs and HDMI for $79 more.

i live in the u.s. and i got an elite a couple days ago!

...it is frikkin ELITE! I LOVE IT.

it runs quite cool at times, is not very loud (except when starting up or loading a game, but that stops after a min) and the drive is quick and noisless (hitachi), but it does heat up discs

I am just waiting on the Halo version of the Elite!

dont waste your money on the elite, buy the premium version and with the $79 you save you can pick up a gamemonie11k

I disagree. I have an Elite and it's awesome. The HDMI makes the games look incredible. The HD has so much space on it. The black hardware looks sharp. And most important, it does not over heat and break down like the white ones do.I am very happy with my Elite.

Yeah, cool man! I love the Elite too. You will love it even more when you get your new HDTV. I have 103 gb left too. That's funny..

well. You dont need 120 gigabytes on your hardrive for saved games..because most people who beat games, and get the acheivements and whatever, usually get rid of their games, or delete the game save after they are done. you better off with the regular version, because it has everything you need. 20 gigs is more then enough.

But if you got some serious money, then grip the Elite

no hd hard drive and no wi fi plus paying 50 dollars a year. your better off spending 20 dollars more and getting a ps3 which has the blu ray player, 5 free movies hdmi and free internet plus wifi. no brainerSirNicoli

The thing is, who actually games wireless? Its miserable! What do you mean HD hard drive? I will admit though, as far as hardware, my PS3 was a much better deal than my Elite at $500.

yea, get out of here. why do ppl like you even browse the 360 board, let alone post in it, if u are just gonna try get ppl to buy a ps3. ppl will buy a ps3 if they want to, not b/c u say to them they should especailly on the 360 board. no brainer.

well, i only have one game so far and a silver account (gold soon). i need to gett more!

elites have the new cooling system that helps prevent failures.

it has the 3rd heatsink.

i run my 360 premium in 1080p through component and my ps3 1080p through hdmi i don't need 120gb of space on either of my consoles i stream media from my pc with 100's of gigs of media i don't want a elite 360 i olny have 1 hdmi port

(Now the problem with this is that if you want your controller to have juice then you have to buy batteries or a rechargeable pack, which cost more $$. The headset is crap and not wireless. There is no Wifi bulit-in and is only an accessory. You have to pay $50 per year to game online. The Backwards Compatibility sucks horribly. Plus there is no HD-player built in and there is only one type of HDD to get and that's MS's....and IMO is a huge rip-off. THE GOOD THING is that you don't have to buy a Headset and you have a bigger HDD. XBL is good too, but IMO should be free...No one should have to pay to play online.)

PS3 60GB- $500, Black, 60GB, Composite Cables, Media Card Readers, Blu-Ray Player, Bluetooth Wireless Controller (USB Cable included), WiFi Built-In, and Free Online Gaming. (The problem with the PS3 is that you have to buy your own HDMI Cable, and Headset, but THE GOOD THING is that you can use any Bluetooth Headset and HDMI cable for what ever your budget might be. You can use up to any 7 Bluetooth devices, Mouse & Keyboard, Mics, Controllers, etc... The HDD can be replaced with any laptop HDD easly. The Controller needs no batteries since it has one built in and the controller has a Lifetime Warranty on it. The Backwards Compatibility is great, it's like 90% of PS1 & PS2 games work.)

None of them are superior because the all have the pros and cons so take your pick.

exactly. thats what i've been seeing the past 2 weeks or so. is there anything else worth talking about? Oh and the "possible price drop on August 5th" or something.
