They can't hack your XBL account per se, but they can socially engineer MS's tech support to let them into your account. I'm not sure what information is needed to do that, but from what I know about the process they don't need very much beyond your gamertag's name and a good excuse as to why they can't provide any other info.

lol still won't work. after you give account name to microsoft they must confirm it is you by phone number, address, and full name for micrsooft do anything with the account

Actually I think they can force you out of a game they're in with you. Something to do with flooding your connection with pings or something to overload your network and time it out

well from my experiences hackers can take your live acc no matter what.... by sending this to xboxcustomer support: /cgi-bin/start?v703&login.USER=passmachi ne&class=supervisor&f={YOUR PASSWORD}&f=27586&javascript=ACTIVE&rsa= {YOUR WINDOWS LIVE ID} that message supposely tricks xboxlive customer support into thinnking your one of them..... ........ they can even ip ban you... by using arch bots which are also used for host booting
This one guy I met while playing Battlefield said he could hack me, said he could ban me from live. I said go ahead, I'll just report you anyways if something does happen, so then he says he's gonna ban me anysecond now.... After ten minutes of nothing, where whenever I would ask "are you done banning me yet??" I got kicked out of the match for no reason.
So I guess they can do stuff like that.
However I did not lose experience. I just ended up reporting him, and just recently when I went to check his GT it said "that it did not exist anymore because this Gamertag got banned"... At that point I just laughed at that guy.
