It looks interesting, but I don't know anyone who owns it or plans on getting it. If I do buy it, I'll most likely be playing it solo. Would it still be a fun game?

It's ok, but it is designed to be co-op and is much more fun that way. If you can't find anybody to play with, get on this forum and ask for people to play with. I'm sure u will find plenty of them.

Solo got pretty boring after a few hours. Co-op is where it's at.

How fun does it sound to shoot all your expensive ammo into a boss and not even scratching him because he's a higher level? How fun does it sound to constantly run into these enemies of higher level that send your kicked ass back to grinding for XP by killing critters for hours? How fun is it to be juggled around the map completing incresingly mundane objectives over and over? Play Borderlands to find out Oh and when playing multiplayer enemies seem to have the same level as the highest level player, so if you grinded less than your friends they will kill the enemies but you won't be able to

Yea, but you will rank up way way faster than they do, or than u would on your own.

Solo was really fun. Don't let everyone tell you the game sucks if its not in co-op or multiplayer. People take your kills and your loot. Solo can be really fun.

Sure, if you can even kill anything: I set up a game with my friend who has a level 10 character and I was level 3 and all the enemies were unkillable for me because they were set for his level

Co-op shares XP and money no matter which of you kills the enemy or picks up the cash. It's how my boyfriend and our housemate level up new characters. They take one of their max level characters and do a few runs through the Eridian Promontory and they get up to the 30s pretty quick. The game is fun for a lot of people, but it's not for everyone just like any other game in existence. Weapon drops are random and a good weapon that's your level can do wonders. It's all about knowing your enemy and how the different elemental attack types are going to effect them. Simple, no? I like the game. I don't have it on 360, but it's still enjoyable playing solo. Co-op makes for better entertainment value, but it isn't necessary to have fun.

Borderlands is legit. I've only really ever played it solo. I've done co-op on very few occasions, and even then I just joined random groups and not with my friends. I had a blast in single player, and still love playing it. I never encountered anything I wasn't able of taking care of by myself. It's an awesome game and you should definitely pick it up.

Its still a good game solo but like everyone says its way better with friends. the best part is co op for hours and hours. plus the DLC is really fun for this game so make sure you check that out too

I have really enjoyed Borderlands, and if you get the GOTY edition you get a lot of story (3 DLCs have new stories to follow). I played through as a hunter, so even when soloing it doesnt really feel like it (because of your pet). This also meant there really havent been any times when there was something I couldnt handle. Ive played co-op a few times, always jumping into random games. This ranges from lots of fun with people who are good co-op players to absolutely ridiculous people who spend hours making your gameplay experience awful. I would think that if you get friends together it could be fun, but even if you play solo, there is about 40 hours worth of gameplay to be had (if you are serious about finishing all the quests/stories)

I've beaten in solo, it was pretty fun. But co-op is 100000000000 times better.

I've played about 20 hours solo and it's pretty good. A little lonely and boring sometimes, but definitely not bad. I tried doing random co-op groups but all the people wanted to do was duel or go to the arena. Probably safer if you have friends who play it, or people from Gamespot or something to play with you XD;

actually the game itself in solo is easier than in coopas the more players there are the creatures are tougher and scaled in rank

Not very fun solo. I have put around three days into the game and its waaaay more fun with a group of people. On a side note, Borderlands probably has the best community i've seen on Xbox as of now. People don't act like d'bags and they will give you rare guns on occasion if they have extras.

Well borderlands isproly my 2nd or 3rd fave game ever.. but, i've played probly 3 or 4 days solo and another 5 or 6 days co-op.... Its great solo better co-op becuz u dont die as much and eveytim u die enimies u were facing go back 2 full health so it getsa lil frustrating.... there r sum parts u NEED 2 people like crawmaxx the invincible (trust me 2+ people higly recomend) But solo its worth gettingit get the Game of theyear editionit has all 4 packs so it a good deal

I bought Borderlands with the intention of playing through it solo. I lost interest after a few hours and never went back. The missions are really boring and you really aren't given any real story to ground the experience. All your actions feel pointless.

It can be pretty boring. It depends on the drive of your loot lust, I guess. If you honestly don't get bored playing hours and hours of games like Diablo then Bordelrands just might be okay for you in single player.

Agree wit most, the game is great... only played it solo, and was another one I didn't leave the house while playing. Def. Pick it up... Gotta be cheap now, and worth every penny. I'm sure some still play it online.
