If you played mass effect its basically like that but better. The world is full of things and its not barren like ME, and you care about the side quests. The main story is amazing. Its the 3rd best game I ever played behind Gta3 and MGS2. Get it. Its the best game 360 has.

It really depends if you like adventure games. It was the first game I played on my 360 and served as a very good introduction into the next generation of gaming. Its awesome and you have alot of freedom, and will last you a good long while (200+ hours is an exagerration though, I played less than 100). My only issue was the repetition of dialogue (although Sean Bean does provide his voice which is excellent) and some rendering issues. I still give it 9.5 overall.

Oblivion is a must own game for any 360 owner!!! There's deffinetly enough to keep you occupied for hours on end. More importantly the quests are not repetitive, you never really feel like you already completed a similar quest earlier in the game. The level up system is great, and the main quest line is absolutely amazing.

it really does depend on if you like adventure games... it does EVENTUALLY get boring and you will wanna move on to another game but this game might just keep you bust for about a month really... basically a flawless game with a couple of minor graphical issues.

I have it on PC, and it is one of the best games I have ever played. I mean, if you've played Morrowind you should already know, but multiply that greatness by a factor of 500 and you have Oblivion. :)

Oblivion is classic, i hated it at first cuz it starts off a little slow .... i almost shunned the game entirely ... but i gave it another chance and got a little more in depth with the game , bro i'm hooked, i've beaten the main quest 3 different times ... i'm up to my 3rd character and i'm still finding side quests that i never new excisted ... and ofcourse u'll get bored of it after a while like the other guy said, BUT thats with every game DUHHHHHHH!!! lol its a game tho u can always go back to and enjoy it like itz ur first time ... the reply value is REDICIULOUS.... cop it, itz worth it ...

It's awesome. I got it the day it came out and it's still my most-played game. Every now and then I get bored with it and stop playing for a few weeks, then I jones for an Oblivion fix and get hooked again. I've got Bioshock, Halo 3 and Mass Effect sitting gathering dust without earning all the achievements for them while I keep playing Oblivion.

Oblivion is an excellent game, even if you have never played the game series before(like myself) the storyline is very easy to get into and gets very addictive to play. You will really enjoy it and it is definately a good investment.

Best game I ever brought.

I never completed it and had it for more than a year!!!

Not repetative... Raiding caves... stealing the loot and then selling it/using it is sick!! XD

The gladiator arena thing kept me happy for hours... fight go sleep fight go sleep fight go sleep fight go sleep and you get rich and.... Ill stop there.. buy it.. now...!

When I bought Oblivion more than a year ago or so I was excited but didn't know what I was getting myself into. Didn't know what the hell I was doing in that game and kept getting my butt kicked while playing through the main quests. Couldn't continue playing cause I was so weak. Traded it in ofcourse but gonna pick it up again next year sometime along with a strategy guide to help me out. I know I missed out. Is there any good strategy guides out there for Oblivion?

IMO until Mass effect came out Oblivion was the best game on the 360. I had a blast with it. It has more variety in terms of quests than Mass Effect i think especially if you get GOTY edition with shivering isles

Cool thanks for the link Elitedead. I'll be doing some research on that site for sure once I get stuck. Which i'm sure I will. Got stuck last time with the battles that have to do with the main quest. Just was not strong enough and had weak weapons along with weak magic. Need to do some improvements on that part of my game.
