i realy like splinter cell games, but i did not like double agent at all. everything felt more like a chore rather than a mission. and these stupid JBA or whatever it's called headquarters parts were just painfull.wreak
It was certainly a bit of a disappointment but out of the four Splinter Cell games, I rate it 2nd because I think SC:Chas Theory is currently the best out of the series. I certainly agree that the JBA sequences are quite tedious and sometimes frustrating when you get busted but otherwise a pretty good game. I would recommend you rent it if you're only going to play Single Player as it won't last too long. It is certainly unique to the series in that you play in both daytime and nighttime settings as well as snowstorms.
A bit off topic but I think SC:Conviction is going to be awesome. It uses crowds of people similar to Hitman Blood Money and Assasin's Creed. Using the environment, thinking on the fly, blending in to what is socially acceptable and creating distractions to evade the security is going to be awesome. No more using the OCP to take out lights. I just hope they make the AI more well.... intelligent because that's been a major flaw in the series IMO.
guys two more questions.
Are the missions at the bad guys'hideout annoying and frustrating like people have told me? And I already know the ending to the game where *dont read if u dont want to find out the end*
Where sam is on the run from the FBI and that. My question is if i know the ending is it a huge deal? I assume u dont play Splinter Cell for its story unlike MGS right?
If someone could answer those 2 questions thatd be cool
If you're getting it cheap, then yeah, it's a good buy.
You've probably seen a lot of people complaining about these JBA HQmissions. I personally don't think they're that bad - admittedly they become a little tedious and some of the things you have to do are far too hard, but as in the normal missions, there can still be a lot of tension when sneaking about.
As for the normal missions, they're as good as ever but with better graphics.
As for the MP... It's not quite my cup of tea but I can see why some people like it. I just find it a bit too slow and dull.
I played the demo and it was great, only thing was those stupid checkpoint loading screens.
My main question is will you want to play it again once you finish it?

Honestly I like the game I thought it was dope, you will definately want to play it again because there are several points in the game that you have to make descisions that will effect the out come of certain parts. Also, the game has more than one ending and one ending adds on aonther playables scene to conclude the story that will lead into the new entry to the series. If you plan on playing the Splinter Cell Conviction I would recommend playing Double Agent first.
I usually like stealth games but this one did not appeal to me when I played it. I barely got through the first level and took it back where I rented it.SMASHED_ASPHALT
That was a mistake, the fist level was not even the real game. The real game starts when you are in prison and you help a guy break out to gain his trust to go under cover.
Wow I must be the only person who actually liked the Headquarters missions lol.zeroncali
I liked them too, that is what really put your skills to the test especially cracking that code. I really felt like I was exercising my math skills.
Possibly the worst in the series, but still a good stealth game. I could have done without the JBL missions.donalbaneI agree. I would say that Double Agent is the worst game in the series, but that's definitely not a bad thing. Its still a great game overall. I think for half price its definitely worth it, the single player is banging in some parts.
