i saw reviews of Viva Pinata and most of them were very positive. however, i want to know you guys' opinions. im debating on whether or not i should get Viva Pinata or Rainbow Six: Vegas. i kind of want to have a break from shooter games, but if Rainbow Six: Vegas is a must own game, then i would probably purchase Vegas, it not, maybe Viva Pinata. i don't have xbox live yet, but i will get it soon enough. also, i already have Gears of War, Graw, NBA 2K7, NCAA Football 07, and COD2. i would appreciate your help:P
Viva Pinata is . . . lets just say you have to be very open-minded to like it. I am a guy, 22-years old and I heard all those reviews saying "even if you're an adult you will enjoy it". I got it, gave it an hour. Game uses kiddie narration, I guess they were targeting ages 5-10 or so. And it is extremely slow paced. It will take hours just to compete tutorial levels. brrrrr

^ Aw dang LoL. I kinda like it but you have to like be open to all types of games to like it. But I play it every day I can. Even got the limited one did not come with anything but the case is cool looken. I go this game because I did not want another shooter or any rpg game so I just got this and its a nice change and all the colors are weird but not boring to look at. So if you have no live then at-leat rent this game to see if you like it.
It is fun. The game is easy to learn. But the amount of pinata is insane. Also they are damn cute. They are so fluffy. I am 24 and I still love fluffy stuff. Most guys pretent to have less interest in cute stuff, but in truth, they bought pets because pets are cute.

Yeh, exactly. I rented it and expected it to be a nice relaxing game my girlfriend could play, but when i tried it out it was crazy. Pinatas were getting eaten and fighting everywhere i couldnt keep up. The only thing i think that game has going for it is the great graphic direction.
It's really fun game and suprisingly addictive. It's an overlooked game IMO. Its a lil slow at first cuz it gives you the intro and the basics of the game, but once you start reproducing and leveling up it gets really fun. You have to do certain things to gain pinatas, and there pros and cons for certain things you plant, or buy. It's a really addictive game. Give it a shot. But Give it time, you cant play it for 15 mins and stop, keep going and as your garden progressing you get more into it.
I haven't gotten Vegas yet but really want to. As for Viva Pinata. It is really addictive and fun. I bought it for my wife and figured I might play it a little bit. Well that was like 20 hours of gameplay ago lol :) And I don't even really like simulation games but this one I would recommend to anyone :)
Thumbs up. Just buy it to encourage more games like this. It hasn't sold particularly well (or so I've heard) but it's obvious they put a ton of thought and work into this game. Not to mention it looks, sounds, and plays fantastic. The characters can be a bit annoying, but the majority of the time you don't have to deal with them.

yeah, it sucks you in at the beginning but after it all wore off and started getting repetitive it lost me real fast. But I never really liked this genre anyway so for it to have my attention for the 6 or so hours that it did says alot. If your a fan of this genre then Im sure you will love this game. Without a doubt it is a really well made game, with great controls, graphics and gameplay it just a nich genre that not everyone likes.
That gamer angers me. Stupid friggin fox doesn't wanna bang unless it gets a roast duck dinner first.... COME ON! I hated Viva Pinata in case you havn't noticed.
I absolutely loved the first one but the second one had crappier achievements which sort of ruined the experience (along with the fact that I'd already completed the first one). In my opinion, it is a MUST-BUY and you can even get the first one for really cheap. I'd recommend hooking up an MP3 Player into the Xbox and playing your own music though. The game lasted me about 25 hours, just so you know. Could've pushed it to 50 easily.
The first Rainbow Six is pretty good if a bit barren. The second one wasn't so good.
vegas is not must have. But neither is viva pinata. if you like shooting games then vegas is an ok game. viva pinata brings a lot of strange things to the table. If you value humor, new gameplay and stylish graphics then id say go for viva pinata. but if you like the shooting then id say get vegas, but there are better shooters then vegas.
Viva Pinata is awesome! It really grows on you. I know it looks kiddy and it is, but it is surprisingly deep. As for a choice between VP or R6V - too hard to call really as they are COMPLETELY different!!!
I was sort of like WTF? when i first read about the game and thought why would anyone want to play that, but my other half talked me into buying it for her on day of release and I've actually played it myself quite a bit and actually really enjoyed it.

It is soul-suckingly good. But if you have the chance, pick up Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise instead. I've put almost as much time in VP and VP:TIP as I have in say, Oblivion.
Viva pinata I is really fun, but there is an insane amount of pinata in the game. Trying to get all the requirements to get the pinatas to stay and play is long and tedious and then getting the achievements to breed them takes forever too. It's a really slow paced game. Also, some of the pinatas don't get along and so they fight constantly with each other. Nothing, not even buying the items from the speciality store keep them from fighting and so you get injured pinata all the time that need healing. THe only way to rectify this is to get rid of one the species. Also dealing with the Professor, his minions, and the sour pinatas is kind of a pain too. The sours will fight or eat your pinatas, but a few whacks with your shovel or if you're patient enough to tame them, you can do it.
I'm 22 and obviously a girl, and I really liked it in the beginning. So far I've stopped playing it (I'm playing Blue Dragon now). . .my boyfriend gets motion sickness when he watches me play Viva Pinata or he falls asleep hahahaa
i have to say; those of u who do not like viva pinata, How? its a great game for all. it gives hours of fun. there r about 30 pinatas or so(i think more) you can trade or give away pinatas and money online. this is a great game to play when you have friends over
