The 360 dvd player is mediocre at best. I have a 100$ dvd player that looks better before it's even upconverted than the 360 does. Moreso than the image quality do you really want to place additional stress on your 360 by watching all your movies on it?
the 360 is okay as a dvd player. tests show that it's actually really bad lol

That test you speak of was done with a 360 not being upscaled vs one of the most expensive upscaling dvd players on the market upscaled to 1080i. Not exactly a fair testÂ
Its ok. After all, its only capable of 480p. It looks bad on HD tvs despite its progressive scan capabilities. On the other hand, the HD-DVD add on upconverts DVDs really well.
