even though microsoft will never do this since theyre all about the money, they seriously should make it like this: your days expire only when you log in that day. none of this "pay for a month, but you better make use of it everday because the clock is ticking". i know one month is like 7.99 but still. -a subscription payment for live should affect THE WHOLE DAMN XBOX, not just the profile that paid for it. seriously wtf

With the ticking clock, the price would more than likely go up since people wouldn't be buying as often.
Affect the Xbox? Not a good idea seeing as 360s brick all the time. Already had one break on me and all I had to do was recover my gamertag.

That response pretty much answers his question. And yeah I agree, pay by minute would be good for some people maybe, but I think the subscriptions are much better for the most part. Family plans would be cool too.
I like the current structure. I think Xbox LIVE is really not that expensive, especially with the deals they've been giving out lately for like 3 months of LIVE for $9 etc.
no i dont mean pay by day. lets say you pay for a month. the days left only go by when you log in live. rather than paying for live and having to make the use of it everyday because the time is ticking and only 1 profile should have to pay for live for the xbox, so live subscription is for the whole xbox not the profile that payed for it

Whereas with it being on profile you can access live on any console you want as long as you have your profile on memory stick or you redeem it on that console.

But if it is for that one xbox and your 360 breaks, if you send it to microsoft you are guaranteed to get a different one back so you have lost your xbox live. Whereas with it being on profile you can access live on any console you want as long as you have your profile on memory stick or you redeem it on that console.
Pretty sure if they implemented something like this, they'd be smart enough to have some kind of account transfer available.
I think paying per minute sounds like a complete mess, but I do wish you only paid per XBox. I play Live with my boyfriend when he comes over, and he pays for an account so we can both use headsets. $100 a year for two people to play on one Xbox seems kind of silly, especially when it's free on other consoles.
