how important is the hard drive

If you are not going to get xbox live that would be ok, but if you want xbox live you need a hardrive.:D

A 64mb memorycard will be fine you are able to play on live, it can hold most XBLA games, all updates for games, all dashboard updates, all saves, you wont run out anytime soon, the game updates are really small same with system updates, id go for it.

Dont listen to the other guys that dont have memory cards, ask me anything if you neeed to know im your man

the only game u cant play on live without a hard drive is crackdown but that doesnt matter xD 

my mate is selling a core system for £100 and im pretty skint so i dont want to buy the hard drive.so will the 65meg memory card be good enough for gamesaves? and how fast will i use it up?stu_godd

well if you dont have a hardrive you cant download demos..or you cant download DLC for other games, so i would say its definately important  to get it.

ok well thats 4 of your mb right there..you cant even download simple demos..its not worth it to not have a HDD with your 360. if you really want to get the full experience then you really have to get one.

I dont need demos cause i got the gamepass, so i just drive to my blockbuster and play the full game, which is usually better than the demo anyway.

and you guys are the ones thats getting ripped off, 100 bucks is too much for a 20 gig HD. But you guys think its so great cause of demos and DLC, that you dont realise itsa rip off.

id rather have this wonderful external HD for my PC for 80 bucks and its 250gig

Your a idiot... yes the harddrive is overpriced... but its only a 100 bucks if you but it seperate. Withe the premium you get a wireless controller, and some other things. Seriously, you cant play the mp without it anyways and that is the selling point of the console.  

Did you even read the thread, you can play on live, it was one of the first possts i made in this thread. I dont like wireless anyway, my room is small, and i play live all the time with a memory card, read threads before u post in them

Im not sure about that. I just went through some save game files and I can tell you. Some saves are like 3-5 mb. I have 28 games so 28x3= :shock:
