I got a couple of q's. OK I want to buy a 3 red lights of death 360 off of ebay. And I know that the broken 360's are most of the time out of there warranty. so heres my q. If i do buy a broken 360 can i still send it to microsoft? and if i can how much would it cost?

...Not really sure. If I had to guess, I'd say no, cause that console isn't registered to you... on top of that, chances are, the console has been opened up, which cancels your warranty. I'd be careful buying a console off Ebay. Games Yes... consoles NO.

i dunno, im currenlty tryin to buy a 360 there, i saw that one you were lookin at, i saw a practcly brand new one there for like 210,id just get something eles, id play your crads dafe and just get one that works

Well can anybody tell me if this is humanly possible? I don't have 200 dollars to blow on a console so thats why I'm trying to find a cheaper way. Or if it isn't possible I'll have to bite the bullet and dish out a crapload of money so that I can play Halo 3.

you should be able to send it back under the extened warranty thats what i did and they took it.

The red lights could me a lot of things though. Some simple, some not... I happen to work for a company that refurbs gaming systems and 360's are our biggestsystems we do..I knowwe sell on ebay and amazon. Not sure of user name though. I would just make sure the system hasnt been cracked open. If can get a picture with the front bezel and clearly see the silver microsoft sticker hasnt been tampered with you should be safe.

It doesn't matter if it's registered or you haven't got the receipt coz I got mine fixed and I bought mine off ebay. Just make sure the microsoft seal is intact before buying, if you're in doubt ask the seller to take a pic of it and send it to you.

Yeah just make sure it hasn't been opened. And even if it's a launch console, it still is less than 3 years so the RRoD warranty should work.

Under warranty, obviously nothing. Paying for it I think is like around 100 or something. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Sweet thanks guys. Now that all my questions sre answered if I'm lucky I should be able to get a used 360 and send it in with no problems. So hopefully I should be able to play H3 soon. Oh and sorry about this but i have another question :oops: How long does it usually take for it to be shipped to and back? Just to let u know I live in the mid west.

I'd save up and buy a new one. Honestly, I wouldn't trust anyone on the internet with the kind of money you're talking about. It'llbe so much better for you in the long run if you just wait.

I've seen people say that it takes anywhere from 2-6 weeks or more if you're unlucky. Sounds like it's basically a shot in the dark. I'd say you could probably bank on a month to get it back.
