Okay so I have offically joined the 3 reed lights club. This is a sad day for me. Never had a console break on me. My repair box should be arriving tomarrow. But the thing is I just got my x360 only a few months ago. I got it on Dec 24 2006. Now I am curious how long did you own your system before it broke. Also please write down when your console was manufacutred. To find this it is right under the S/N. My console was manufuactured in June of 2006 and got 3 red lights on April so 4 months but Xbox has been scratching my games since January. This is for people who had experiance the three red lights or other hardware failures. Do no come in here saying that this problem does not exist and we are cows just bashing the X360. Truth is this is a problem. Why do you think mircosoft extended the warrenty? Just to be nice. No, its because these problems are ruining the Xbox name and if mircosoft did not do anything I am pretty sure the government or some kind of lawsuit would have force them to do it.Â
I bought mine 360 over a year ago. I keep it vertical in a well ventilated area and plug it directly into the wall. I still use it everyday and have never gotten the ring of death. Sorry to hear it though.

ya i had the 3 red lights 5 months after i got mine
oh by the way when you log on or do anything at the xbox website while your loged on it shows that you've been online since the time you were on the website.........just to clear things upÂ

# 1 how did you know if I was on live or not?# 2 I had not been playing my xbox since thruday the day I called mircosoft about my game being scratched.# 3 I am not a fakeboy. Fakeboys always makes a new account to do this. As a matter of fact I am a higher level than you are.# 4 I loged on to the Xbox.com like 2 hours ago. If that shows I'm online then that explains that.
Me and my friends are 4 for 4 with 3 redlights. Manu dates Nov 2k5 lasted 15 months. Dec 2k5 lasted 13 months. Mar 2k6 last 3 months, May 2k6 lasted 8 months. Thanks MS!!!
Over a year and it still works just fine, because I don't throw a hissy fit and hit the system if I ever lose in a game like most of you people probably do.Ultra-Alue
 Yeah just keep telling yourself that son. Everyone is an idiot besides you and abuses their system. Thats why their consoles break. Because me and all of my friends play catch with them in the backyard during bbqs when were bored. In fact I abuse mine so much I have to use the towel trick to get it to work. It has to be my fault because everyone knows using a towel magically heals physically abused systems. Dont worry you'll get them soon enough and I just wish I could be there to see that look on your face.
I'm still on my first 360 and I haven't experienced the 3 red lights a single time. No kidding (I've had my 360 since April 2006 if you wanted to know).
Had mine for about 6 months then boom, one day it just didn't want to the grave. Yesterday, my remanufactured one I recieved just turned off, started flashing the 3 red light but THANK GOD, I was able to jus reset it and it's fine.
First one happened to me after 3 months or so.. now with the new one, it was after a month.. Makes me wonder if they actually repair them at the "repair center"
Its going to be 6 months, but I have a question when you get the 3 red lights isn't the 360 suppose to die forever? I got my 3 red lights 2 days ago after downloading the AC4 demo and I just pushed the reset button (aka panic attack :P )Â and all was normal...I am happy but confused :?
