hello

i am thinking about sending in my 360 because of the ring of death. i mean it works fine right now, but i have had it 3 times in the past year.

I was just wondering how long it takes for it all to happen.

Like sending it in, repair, and sending it back.

I want to cooridinate it around when i am away

thanks

-cp

Firstly, if your console isn't broken why send it in? I don't think that's even possible.

However, it differs. Some people have had it back within 2 weeks. They were really lucky. Most take 3-4 weeks as far as I've read up about it. Mine took 6 weeks though. And now with the added warranty, it probably takes longer then before.

Yea well it takes a while. I called for my box the 17th of last month. Didnt get here til the 22nd. I put the console in and sent it back the same day. They didnt recieve my console till the 27th. I called on the 6th and they are still under repair. The little foreign guy i talked to said it takes 48 hrs to repair. If it got there on the 27 and only takes two days then what the hell is up??? They also told me i would have it back within7 to 8 days after I sent it off. Its been two weeks and its not even sent from microsoft yet.. The new warranty was annonuced a couple of days ago, so they are refunding money, putting new heatsinks in the fixed consoles and registering new ones. I heard it could start taking over a month to get your console back. (Sorry for the long story just trying to give you an example)
