Well i sent my 360 in on saturday and it says it is currently being repaired, so im guessing about 2 weeks total, although i've heard anywhere from a month to 5 days. you don't need a receipt, I had a falcon chip in my xbox and it got RROD in almost a year.

I'm on my third 360 and they don't really take that long, normally. The first one took about 5-6 days and the second one about a week. Like someone else said though, it's the holiday season so it will probably take a little bit longer.

And I'm not sure, but I am pretty sure they are refurbished units. The first replacement I received made really loud whining noise...until it died.

The first and only time my Xbox 360 Died, I rang up Microsoft see what they could do and they were great. So, I packaged it up and sent it away. Within 5 days it was back with a little instruction book and a free silver Xbox Live membership. They're great especially since all the bad things that i heard about bad customer service.

I forgot to mention the bit about customer service, since Raccoon mentioned it. They were really helpful...I told them I had red rings and they gave me a number and told me to wait on a shipping box. It was at my house a few days later. I received my 'new' xbox in the same type of shipping container with a Live card. I was very pleased and don't see how a people have problems with them, unless you are rude, impatient, and lack manners.

i think that MS is faster than you

took around 2 months to give a call to MS about this matter, 2 days later they picked my 360 and 4 days later i had my new console...and a month of XBL gold
