I've gone months, especially in school when it just starts to get too much. I used to unplug my xbox so I wouldn't be tempted into playing it when I should have been working on homework, studying, or working on a project. Fortunately right now I am not busy and play as much as I can :)
Weeks upon weeks, and looks like more time ahead. (I can't afford Live right now) Thank Goggle PSN is free. (all my Xbox games are getting dusty... damn shame)
I don't think I've played on Live since like January or February or something like that. It's very easy for me to stop. Hell, it's been two weeks since I played a game, though I plan on changing that today. :P
The biggest stretch since subscribing was about a year and a half. Even now, I mostly keep it to game with friends. I don't care much about multiplayer anymore.

You can't afford Xbox Live, but you can afford both a Ps3 and Xbox? Lol go back to the Playstation 3 forums and stop secretly whining that Live isn't free. :)
Anyways, I've went about 3 months now, since my Xbox broke and I just got an elite. Will be getting it in a few days though.
like 2 months because first it broke (RRoD) and it took like a month to get back, and then when we got it i just didnt feel like playing xbox for a month really after that i got back into it

Did you think that maybe because he owns both PS3 and Xbox he can't afford live if he wants to keep buying games for both?
I frequently go a long time without playing anything actually on LIVE, especially with great games like Prototype and Red Faction to keep me busy ont he single player side of things. But I'm still signed into LIVE while I am playing those so I'm not sure it counts...

I know what you mean. Games can be very tempting. However I find it relieving to take a break from homework to play some games. It's nice to just relax for a bit and get back to work later.
I've gone about a month without playing last Feb. when I was getting my XBOX repaired but even when I got it back and I didn't hook it up right away cause I just had gotten the Wii. Maybe by the end of March I got back on cause I can't get enough of those achievement points.
