Pretty long, the side quests beef up the time most though. I've got 50 hours in and i've only just taken him to the temple ^ ^. I'll breeze through though. Level 28 with full glass daedric bow and daedric longsword, all enchanted. I've heard the armour you get at the end of it is pure tripe though. A little dissapointing.death1505921
Yes, but how much of that 50 hours was spent on the main quest? If it took you 50 hours to get Martin back to Cloud Ruler Temple, then you are awful. Considering you're level 28, this isn't the case though. The main quest itself is really short in comparison to the rest of the game.
Yeah, the armor at the end was trash... the armor I beat the game with was a full glass suit, a couple rings and an amulet -- 5 of these items were enchanted with 20% chameleon... then there was a ring I had that gave me rediculous feather and I had enhance speed and detect life in there or something. I was basically unstoppable. I was a dark elf at the time... I'm playing through as a high elf just to mix it up a bit. I find that my characters end up going the same way though... stealthy magicians that wield blades in light armor. I just have no desire to be an Orc or an Argonian... Generic_Dude doesn't drink the water, no... the Argonians SWIM in it.
question: where can i get a glass suit or armor?
also, if you have any desire to close the planes of oblivion, do so between the blood of the daedra quest and the camorans paradise quest. after the last quest there will be no planes and no planes means no sigil stones.
When I got my surgerey done I got about 177 hours its including ALL downloadable content!! Yes that includes shivering isles and all those little add ons and all side quests!:D
if you only focus on the main story (very hard to do) maybe 20 hrs easy. if you do the rest you put in at least 100-150hrs... personaly i puted 236 hrs with the game of the year
I remember reading in XBOX mag that its total gameplay time without side missions is 50 hours. But how coudl you play it through without leveling up? It starts to become a challengelombadothe game doesn't level up by the % you got done, it levels up with you
Main story isnt that long, you must have sucked.death1505921i think its more about taking your time and appreciating the game, not trying to rush through just to finish/achievements
you have to be level 20+ before you start seeing glass/daedric armour, and 22+ before you start seeing enchanted versionsquestion: where can i get a glass suit or armor?

I find it a little crazy that people are still asking questions about Oblivion here. There're two threads about it on the front page. I guess the game's got staying power.

I think they become common after you reach a certain level.
I may be ruining some of the magic here, so...
Virtually all items in Oblivion are tied to your level, and only appear in the game world if you are a certain level. At the beginning, you only have iron weapons and armor. Level up, and now there's steel. Then you get dwarven, elven, and then the glass you're looking for around level 20 or so. Of course, the monsters level up too, so better weapons are for the most part, just visual improvements, not functional ones.
the story line is 20 hours, with fast travel, without fast travel it's 35 hours. And than you have every guild wich takes up to 10 hours. I finished the game within 106 hours.
jahnee
