How long will Modern Warfare 2 remain king of the multiplayer realm?

I used to play it a lot when first came out, then I just quit (due to issues with the game) so I came back to COD 4 and Halo 3 and now looking forward to Halo: Reach

I think Black ops will knock it off, Reach will make a very big dent on its lead. But most of the call of duty community hate or dislike halo. Or as the 12 year old cod player would say : Gaylo

I sure hope so, there needs to be a new innovative FPS that takes the top. Nothing against MW2, I've been playing CoD since vanilla on the PC. The FPS market just needs something NEW.

Agreed like Call of duty 4 (anyone remember that used to be number 1). Wait until Halo Reach, Probabarly the New Medal of Honor and COD: Black Ops.

Halo Reach will be competing with COd for the next 3-4 years. until the next halo game while COD will release a new game every year : /

Reach will most likely knock it to #2.

I still play it, and the population has declined. It use to have around 500,000-1,000,000 players now it's about 200,000-300,000.

It will be knocked out of the top spot in about 6 weeks, when Reach is released. Halo 3 should be picking up a bunch more players in the coming weeks as people go back to it to better prepare themselves for Reach

i also haven't played it for about 6 months, so (imo) i'd say its went down, at least were i am from it has.

That game eats up so much of the community, I used to look at my friends list and everyone was playing almost all different games.

The worst part is that I can't even talk to my friends in party chat...I hate that game :evil:

it took 3 cods to bring halo 3 to 90000

so im sure reach can beat black ops

I still play it alot :D but after Halo Reach comes out all that is about to change

Not a fan of halo. . I have mostly seen kids like that game and I kinda find it cheesy too .. COD and BAD com rox.. MW1 is the best game ever.

Until Reach, and Black Ops as others said. The only reason I play it is to play with my buddies.
