I think you'll be fine. You don't have to worry that much unless you play like 6-10 hours a session. Then trouble comes along lol.
You should be totally fine, dude. 2-3 hour sessions are nothing for a xbox to handle. Maybe 6-8 hour sessions, that might be a little problem, but even then, the chance is low. Do you know what kind of chipset you have? If you have 12.1, then you're sitting really good man.
break it on purpose and get a new one just in case, try overheating that mofo. RDOTRIf you are actually considering that idea TC, try wrapping a couple towels around it and leaving it on for awhile. There's an old towel trick that is used to reset the chips or something and give your xbox a little more life in it, but i don't see why you couldn't use that to purposely get the RRoD. Either way, i think you're fine dude. No need to go and break your system.

ermm no idea, I know its not the original chipset
Keep the 360 in a open area which has good air flow. Don't smother it or have the system on a carpet, same goes for the power bar. Turning it off for 15 minutes every couple hours helps, maybe keep a small fan on it if your really paranoid =p.
