How long will the free games last?

Anyone know how long Microsoft will keep giving us free games.?Is it until Xbox One is released or will they still continue as long as you have XBL Gold?

As of right now we do not know. Although, I doubt xbox will stop when the XBONE comes out.

They said when Games with Gold was announced mid year that it ends in 2013. It's a half year promotion to get us to continue subscribing to XBL.

The Games with Gold service doesn't extend or continue on the Xbone as of this post.

1st Point: Wrong, we do know The Games With Gold program ends on December 31, 2013, which means Xbox Live Gold members will get thirteen free games. It's an experiment and response to Sony's PS+.

2nd Point: Wrong again, it's only for 360 as of this writing, and it is planned to end2013 which they posted the day this deal was announced at E3.

:P...it's not that bad man!! I'm not a big fan of the Fable games but what the heck it was free, but I am glad I got Assassins Creed 2...I always wanted that game!! I'm also looking forward to Halo 3, I bought it when it was released but I traded it in once I beat it.

Either way, it's not to bad of a list and it could have been better but they are quality tittles.

But honestly its not about teh decent free games. its about the amazing games. MS has them, sony doens'tdarkangel115

You have to be an active subscriber of xbox live or ps+

I know that 360 games are yours to keep for life with or without subscription...where as ps+ only offers them to you whilst you have an active subscription

(call it a rental if you will...a very long cheap rental at that).

I don't think it's starting a war in admitting the competition has higher quality of 'free games' on offer. I look at it as just stating the obvious based on what's been released so far.
