okay, they should have called it "Fantasy" thats it. Just "Fantasy 1-13" and the LAST installment should be called FINAL Fantasy. Oh well. Pointless topic. amazing game. just sayin is all.
I'm 99% sure the reason square named it "final fantasy" was because they needed a great title in order to keep themselves in business otherwise they were down for. it was on icons on G4. if it didint sell, it would have been the "final" straw for their company
I'm actually still a fan of Final Fantasy. I liked them all (Except 11) and I do hope for them to continue coming out. I've beat 4, 7, 8, 9, and 10.gial240

Actually, other than a couple of sequels (They had a follow-up to X and VII... anything else I'm missing?) out of the 13+ games they made... how many of the games didn't end the fantasy of those characters? I think it is fitting. Final Fantasy... the last experience you get from these characters before we just rehash the name with completely different (ok, 'differently named characters') for brand recognition.
