I planning on getting a 360, I'm pretty positive that no way in hell I could ever fill the 120GB version. However my friend let me borrow his 360 which is a 20GB, and he only had 3 or 1 gigs left. He uploads no music ormovies, he has some demos. So I was mildly worried cuz last gen I had 40 some games on my Xbox w/no problem, but my friend probly only has 5 games and he's almost out of memory.

So I ask how many games saves can be stored in the 20GB HD, I need an average number...actual numbers, not a response like "Don't worry" - "Alot of games". Anyway thanks in advance.

I don't think you'll ever fill up the harddrive if all you have on it is games. The things that take up the most memery are the demos, videos, movies, TV shows, and downloadable content.

yeah if he has 1 or 2 gig left, then he must have a good number of demos. Those things can take on average 700mb per demo. The saved files won't take anything really.

The size of a savegame depends on the game itself. There are some which are only 100kB (and thus about 163,000 savegames would fit onto the initial 13 GB) up to 1MB (and thus about 16,300 savegames would fit onto the initial 13 GB). No matter how many games you have. You will not be able to fill the HD with savegames. Your friend probably has a LOT of demos on his HD to fill up the space like this. Even if he only has 1GB left, it's enough to hold roughly thousand 1MB savegames.

Game saves? Are you serious? Ok. So the real amount of x360 HDD which you can use is 13GB. That is 13*1024=13312MB. Counting that one single gamesave takes 15MB then you will be able to have 13312MB/15MB=887 game saves. I doubt that you will be able to make that much data in the entire x360 lifespan:P

i'd say 20,000+ games, cuz 20 gigs is 20,000 mb. most game saves are less than 1mb. the only thing that really takes up space is the demos which are usually 300mb-1gig. i mostly play a demo at least twice ore three times, then delete it.

A lot man. I had 11 demos, all these videos, uploaded music and all my game saves and the lowest I got it to was 3GB.

Really... It's 20gb's. If your only using it for saved games you will never fill it up.

Well, you don't have to worry and HDD will take a lot of game saves. I have a harddrive, but use a memorycard for gamesaves. I have 11 games saves and it uses about 40 MB of the 64 MB memorycard. That means, in estimate, that on 1 GB of space you can have 280 gamesaves. If you have a clean harddrive with nothing on, that's about 12 GB (since the Xbox use the rest of the space for the system), you can save 3379 games. So there is no need for worries.

There will never be enough games made to even fill up a 20 Gig HDD.

Well mmm...that sounds dandy. I was just worried 'cuz last gen I owned over 40 games. My friend only has five and he only has 3gigs left, I'm sure it's from the demos though.
