how many of you have had a broken XBOX?

I have A PS3 but i want something to keep in my room. I was looking at the XBOX but do they break really easy. All of my friends XBOXes have broke or are broken.

working on my 5th but ever since i got an elite i had it for 6 months and 3 rings of death yet

Get it. I own both consoles and both are worth it. Especially if you have a ps3 to back it up in case of hardware failure. My 360 disc drive went out a few months ago and ms fixed it and shipped it back charge free in about 3 weeks.

TRUTH: There are hardware problems and there is definitely a chance it could affect you but honestly the slew of exclusives are well worth the chance of failure. Especially since they'll fix it free and you can play ps3 in the 360 downtime.

Same here. I got my first about a month after it came out, had that about 8 months and then it got the three red lights. Then i got another from my warranty and just a week ago, i once again got the three red lights. I take good care of my electronics, so i have many other items that DONT BREAK. Now i have to wait like 2 weeks to get a new xbox. Why don't they just make them last so this doesn't happen!

me n my brother bought one a week after christmas in '06 n it had the RROD in jun of '07, n we just went to bestbuy n switched it with another one. that one just had 1 red ring 2 days ago n my brother took it to bestbuy which he got it switched with the new pro with the hdmi port. btw this is the pro system

Anyway, I have a "day-one" 360, alive and kicking, but I also bought an Elite. I couldn't continue to consider myself a video-game enthusiast without a 360, like I had to have a PS2 - the gen-before. It's one of those items that one has to have, no matter how "temperametal" it could be...
