I use it and I never experience Lag at all. Im about 30 feet away from the router and all my friends like for me to host our games since im the only one that can actually host a lagless game.Tannerr33same, but i'm about 10-15 ft from the router. no problems at all.
do you have to buy a 360 wireless adapter to get a wireless connection, or can you use any usb wireless adapter?xtreme822
Third party USB adapters will NOT work. They need drivers to run, which you cant intsall on the 360.

well...wat if you have like 2 computers running....and 2 360 running on 1 router...

In my house I have 2 computers running off a wired connection and 3 computers running off of a wireless all at the same time as well with my 360 on the wireless. Yes I havea Huge family and everyone has their own computer lol.
I thought about getting the adapter but I live in a 2 story house and my router is down stairs but my 360 is upstairs. Would this hurt the performance of the adapter at all?tigerfan17
It might not work. I have the wireless adapter in my room downstairs with the router upstairs and I can't get a signal, so I basically spent $100 for nothing....Doh!!, oh well no Live for me.
I use one in my room on the second floor and the router is in the basement. We have 4 computers(including two laptops) and my 360 running on it and i NEVER get lag.Lazygamer01
I'll probably buy the adapter in a couple of days then because it sucks having to hook my 360 to my computer monitor when I could be playing on my TV.

No not at all, my 360 downstairs, router is two floors up, and it works fine, two bars out of 3. I can also get my neighboors connection with it... unprotected.. hehehe. lol anyways, its a good buy despite the ridiculous price point, and it may be the only alternative for people like you and my self whos xbox is far from a router. Other alternative, get a crappy computer that you already have, have it wirelessly connected to your router, and plug into that.

I am in the same situation I have both my 360 and Wii running wireless to my router which is upstairs.I have a Linksys A+G router though, my 360 uses A and my Wii uses G. I am not having any connection problems for any of my systems. I am on a cable network.
Or do what I did and just hook the router up next to the tv where the cable comes in, directly wire the 360 into the router and then run your pc from upstairs. That way you still keep things wireless, dont have to worry about lag in your 360 and you can put your pc whereever you want it.jpkustra
That's so brilliantly obvious I can't believe I didn't think of it first, thanks.

it only took me about 6 months to figure it out! I rearranged my apt and realized how dumb it was to run a cord from the router to the 360 whenever I wanted to go online. Now that I bought a 2 story house, it makes it nice to have 360 downstairs in the livingroom and my comp in my office. Good luck!
would like to know if u get lag out once in a while...ZnLRyDa
Man the same thing happpens to me. I have a full signal and an open NAT and it still lags out every once and a while. It let's me sign back on almost right away most of the time, but it is very annoying. I also have two xbox 360's, a lap top and a PC hooked up to the same router. Only the 360's and the lap top are wireless.
I have got a new 360, modem and router to solve this problem and they did not help.

My little Brother uses my old LNKSYS wireless adapter from my regular xbox and it works as good as my 360 brand one. It only cost me $90 bucks three years ago. You can get one used for like 30 on E-bay.
