Just got a hi def tv last week and i am never going back to standard definition again. I thought i was happy with standard def but after playing gears of war in hi def for the first time, my jaw dropped.
Most of the time I play on a HD projector, but I occasionaly play on my PC monitor, believe me once you go HD you feel spoiled and don't want to go back to SD, ever.
I do, I do.... and its awesome sauce! Some icons in games i couldnt make them out b4, but after getting my HDTV, i was like.... "ahh.... thats what that is"
40" Samsung LCD.... 6ms response time & "game mode" & 3000:1 contrast ratio (which is good for a LCD) oh and a 172degree view without any kind of degradation in the color or picture.

Same here about the icons. My dad got a 32" 720p Magnavox and I use it for gaming of course.
When I first bought my 360 I used it on a little portable SD tv and was not impressed at all, was even gonna take the 360 back. But then after I tried it on HD I was amazed. Everyone that says theres no going back is not exagerating. If u still use SD i would seriosley urge u to upgrade.
when i first got my xbox 360, i got the game dead rising with it. after trying to play it on a standard def tv, and not being able to read any of the missions they were giving me or anything because of the obscure lines going through the text, i put my 360 on the shelf for a month until i had the cash to go out and buy a 37" high def LCD.
i have a sd but i want to save some money to buy a hdtv cuz i went to my uncles house a little bit ago to play on his 50" hdtv samsung in 1080i it was awesome, but id settle for ne thing that had 1080i or 1080p for me cuz its so good. wat is the smallest size that has 1080i or 1080p?

When you play on a standard tv you are only happy with what you have untill you get an HDTV. Then you never want to play on a standard tv again. HDTV makes the 360 gaming experience so much better.
Just got one like 2 months back, its a Sony Bravia 32' LCD and it runs at 1080i, Rainbow Six Vegas on this TV is candy for my eyes, I swear I'll never go back to SD if you paid me too.

I have a widescreen Goodmans 19inch High Definition in my bedroom (with HDMI) for games and a Standard 42inch plasma in my living room (to watch Tv on), GOW looks great in 1080i but I don't mind, In fact I prefer SDTV in some ways, mainly because HD gives me Headaches I like your honesty, many people talk BullS**T on these forums "oh yeah I have a 50inch Sony bravia with 1080p", But I am proud of my little 19inch HDTV for my Bedroom its great! crap for watching TV though. The games do look good but some games are wasted on it, Such as Need for speed Carbon, Just slightly brighter GUN, That game looks terrible on anything R6 Vegas, Great looking game but no change in HD However GOW, PGR3 and TDU look amazing if you are happy with what you have, good for you!

My TV can do 1080i and its 19inch i alsot has HDMI if you live in england, I bought it from COMET its £200 and its a Goodmans
