Ive got an x-box, but no live. And to be perfectly honest, I dont want live. All i get from live (on my games list) is multiplayer Halo3 and COD4. Im not particularly interested in either of these. I thought COD4 had a great single player, but i just dont like dealing with the xbox live community. It can be a real pain.
Plus, I feel like i dont need live to enjoy the best of what the 360 has to offer: Mass Effect, Assassins Creed, and Bioshock.
Normally Id be foaming at the mouth for anything that would make Halo3 worth half its price, but then i realize id need to pay for live to accomplish this. And then I realize that other shooters on the pc have better online play then halo3...for free.

I find that the best Xbox games are the single player exclusives. BioShock and Mass Effect are enough to keep me busy for a long time.
If I had Call of Duty 4, I would get Live, but I have it on PS3 and it works just as well.
Halo 3 is so ridiculously overrated...Orange Box looks sweet, but I heard Team Fortress 2 kind of sucks, especially compared to the PC version. All the other games in the package are also single player...
I already played Gears of War and LOVED IT. That game was worth my Xbox Live subscription. After I got my PS3, I decided that unless something AMAZING comes out that is Xbox 360 exclusive that must have Live to enjoy, I can live without Live Gold.
