I live in a home which originally had one 360 which suffered the RRoD. That was still under warranty so we sent it off for "repair". Later on we bought a newer 360 and moved the older one to our study. This older one suffered the RRoD and so we replaced it with an Arcade version 360. Just last week, the newer 360 died, so we replaced it again with an Arcade version. So yeah. :) Go on.
had mine since january 2008... the first RROD came as a surprise to me in April of last year... the second time was March of this year, I knew it was coming but not right before one of my highly anticipated games(RE5, too bad it didn't live up to the hype)... I finally sent it in June, and it's been working since, but I've got a coffin on standby just in case.
Know what sucks? I got my 360 on release day, worked perfect then got RRoD... Took it to the store where I got it and exchanged it. The new one RRoD'd. Turned out to be the lame intercooler I had on it. But too late to get my old one that was awesome. The new one RRoD'd, and the one they sent me after that RRoD'd. The one I have now gives me dirty disc error 5 times a day on perfect discs.
Officially none....original 360 is from Jan 06 and it never really had the RROD although one time the AV cable came sort of loose and it 3 lighted, but as soon as it was plugged back in tight it never happened again.
Originally got it around 2004-2005, it had a RROD about 11 months after purchase, mailed in and got a new one, then about 3-4 months ago we got another RRoD, and got it back. Warranty on this is going to finally end in about 1 month, so we're going to try some alternative cooling methods to prevent any further RRoD afterwards.
Iv had a 360 since the month after they 1st came out and since then iv had the Rrod 3 times and yes this mean i have had to buy 4 xbox 360's... do i regret it? no i dont i mean dont get it wrong iv never played a Ps3 and some of the games exclusive to ps3 do look temptimg but look how expensive a playstaion3 is, im just going to stick to my 360
4 times. I have had xbox 360 since release date but i dont know why mine always breaks for no reason. Its not like mine overheats i mean i got it when i came back from vacation! while no one had used it!
I think they've started covering the RRoD even after the 3 year warranty, with a special 3 month warranty extention afterwards, our 3 year warranty was overyears ago and it was free to get it repaied when it RRoD a couple months ago.
Twice and both times during summer... :| now Im no rocket scientist thats clearly a temperature issue and now what I dont understand is why it weren't fixed the first time round. I live in london its not a hot place and the 360 has more than enough room to circulate in cool air. At times I just feel like modding the case with a 120mm Noctua fan and replacing the CPU thermal paste with arctic silver.

You had to buy 4 consoles? You bought our 1st one December 2005 & the 3 year RROD warranty would of then expired December 2008. Even if your console died after that, once you bought a new console you would then receive a new 3 year warranty. So I guess you bought new consoles instead of sending it in for repairs for free?
