yea is cause im probably gonna get an xbox 360 elite when it comes out and i wanted xbox live cause well u know for halo 3 ofcourse when it comes out. i never had xbox live before so i dont know anything about it all i got is high speed internet the company is sbc or att whichever and it came with a wireless modem which doesent want to work u know a 2wire modem the internet works but the wireless thing doesent want to work like for example when i try a wireless connection from my wii it finds the modem but it doesent want to connect yeah it sucks idk wat it is do i like need a wireless router for it to work but if u guys could help or something plz but back to the xbox live like wat are all the things i need for it like watever i need everthing oh and my xbox isnt close to my computer is downstairs and my computer is upstairs i cant move t trust me like does my 360 have to be close to the computer or something yeah and how much do u pay tats all please im begging help.
 im getting live soon, i ur router is near ur 360, use the cable that comes with it, if not(like me), get a wireless adapter. get a 12 month subcription to live gold and 2100 ms points

I actually ran the ethernet cable that came with my 360 from my modem downstairs to my 360 upstairs through a heat vent tube. (the cable is like 20 feet long) You can also get a logitech network extender that wirelessly connects you modem and your 360 for like $30 or the 360 wifi adapter for $100. Once I had mine hooked up, I went to walmart and bought a $40 dollar xbox live year subscription card, and just typed in the code. Also you will need to have a valid hotmail or MSN email address, I just made one really quickly. After that, you should be up and running.
oh tats cool oh but one thing my nephew is gonna get a 360 too and hes probably gonna want xbox live too could u do it for two 360's on the same computer like have both of them plugged in the computer

You can buy microsoft points with a credit card online or you can buy a subscription card for that too. That is how you buy video games from Xbox Live Arcade, you can buy all kinds of other stuff online like TV shows and pay per view movies in high def

Yes you can. It just depends on how many ethernet ports are on you modem. My modem has 5 ports on it so I can have 5 360 plugged into it and running online at the same time. It is pretty cool.

I don't know much about modems. But I would check the firewall settings. If that doesn't help call your company that your internet is through. That's about all I know about it.

All you need is a 360, and high speed connection. I advise when you get your 360, it should come with an one month free trial of XBox Live (gold) once you sign up for the free silver version. Do that, get your free month and then get it after wards (either credit card / Time Card). No installment, its already on the 360.

i know i mean good i really waited for the 360 cause now this better one is coming the elite and it looks cool i mean im going to get the ps3 but later when the color white comes out cause i want my ps3 white or silver and tats good xbox is going back to its orginal color black but yea do u got a ps3 my nieces husband has one i played it and everything its cool but i dont like the games tat are out rite now there boring like i said tats why im gonna wait until the ps3 gets an update more stuff and a brand new color
