I consider anything above 30,000 is crazy

Agreed....
I'm at 13,000 - and that has taken alot of time and effort...if I make 20,000 this year I'll be happy.....
OVER NINE THOUSAAAAND!!! But seriously- I was thrilled when I topped 10,000. I'm at fourteen now, and I'm still goin'."How much gamerscore is A LOT to you?"
TrapMuzik92
70,000 seems like a hefty number to me. I can tell, when seeing a score around that mark, how much fun is being sapped out of the game purposely trying to hit that sort of gamerscore.
my previos GS was over 10000 , but my new profile is like 5000 any GS above 30,000 is high, above 60,000 is crazy Wings_008
Anything over 100,000 suggests some serious gaming. I've had my 360 for about 3yrs and I've got just over 19,000 having only got 100% on two games (NFS:Most Wanted and Fight Night 3).
i would say you need over 100k to be crazy high gamerscore, iv nearly got 40k and i spend most of my time playing multiplayer games that offer no or very few achievements for online play, if i spent all that time doing singleplayer games and earning achievements then i would prob have around double my current score
I liked getting achievements a few years ago. Now it's kind of old news. I wouldn't bother going out of my way anymore because in the end, you don't get anything for having a high gamerscore, except the chance to play a lot of really bad games. Games like Oblivion had a nice setup where getting the achievments would actually show you more of the game. Those types of games are nice because they extend the value of your games. Most games today have something like "kill 50 guys with a shotgun". And I know people will load and reload a certain stage just go get that achievment, but that's not me, and I have other more important things to sink time into. If the game has some cool achievements that I feel extend the value I'll go get em, but being pathetic is not fun so I'll beat the game and take the 500 or so that comes from that.
I got a few games for free a couple of years ago that weren't worth selling. Trust me, if I could erase Cars and Open Season from my gamer list I would gladly do that. I have a friend who got 1,000/1,000 out of the Hannah Montana movie game and I think Ice Age 3. He is 26 years old, so that is a huge facepalm for em.
Anything over 20,000 is pretty high. Most gamers haven't had the system since launch, and most gamers won't go out of their way to hunt achiements. If I see someone with 20,000+ I usually think they are doing some achiement hunting.
I have 33k does that count as crazy? 50k is a lot too meI consider anything above 30,000 is crazy
TrapMuzik92
I have about 15K and I have had the 360 for about a year and a half so next year I should have 25K, I have a pretty good amout.

I have 33k does that count as crazy? 50k is a lot too me Like if you just play games and get achievements as they come then no...but if your playing games just for achievements and your gamerscore is over 50,000, What the hell are you really achieving?I used to think 100K was epic but now I am inching towards that total myself:P....150K is pretty decent but 200K+ is off tap.
And in my opinion, if you've got that high of a score, you either play video games too much or you're a gamerscore hoar.
Those with 100,000+ scores - need to move out of their parent's house.

Lets average that out; xbox has been around since 2005, its now 2010.
30000/5 = 6000 gamerscore per year
6000/12 = 500 gamerscore a month
your telling me with absolute conviction that people play video games too much if they complete half a game a month?
your conclusion lacks logic, and then to make a immature/generalised comment at the end was unnecessary
well for me id say anything over 100k. I currently have 56k but its really not that much if you consider that ive had a 360 since the first year and im a hardcore gamer so i buy alot of games. I really dont play that much especially when im in school just way too busy. In most of my games i dont even have half of the achievements so that should tell you something. I also only have 4 or 5 100% games and they were all easy ones except blazblue.
my friend Mike on the other has only had it 360 for two years and has a GS of 110k, he pretty much buys or rents all new games no matter how bad or good and 1000's them in a week or two. things that i though would take months hes done in a few days and hes legit. That's crazy.
Not sure what you guys would say with me getting 26,000 GS in 2009 (also another 6000 in Nov/Dec 08).
you guys should check out if you have not yet, a site called xbox360achievements.org
the members there are sooo hardcore at achievement (cheevos/cheevies) hunting that any game they come across they try and beat it and earn all achievements,
the sad part about it is that if you look at there played games, you will find the easy licenced games like cars, bolt, and then there are the sad excuses of games i.e avatar burning earth etc.
i would have respect for anyone who gets full achievements in games like darksiders, ninja gaiden, etc,
but for you to have a high gamerscore just coz of easy games is not all that impressive.
either ways, gamer scores mean nothing. its like guys talking about who has the biggest one. who cares?
i myself have 30,140 and the only games i have full achievements in are tenchu z, wolverine origins, resident evil 5 and godfather 2. yes those are easy games.my lowest score is 0. and that is in ghost busters.
and then there are games that have achievements that are just all about GRINDING. lost planet 2 seems to have the worst grinding achievement list i have seen ever. did capcom really think everyone is an achievement junkie. wow.
to me, if you have a gamerscore above 50,000 , that is too much. if per game you have half the full achievements then wow, impressive. but if you have more than half of your games having full achievements, then you good sir/madam, should just stop. unless you are 12 years old, i dont see how you would have that time?
on the ps3 my only platinum is god of war 3. i think getting full achievemnets is easier on the 360.
it would be cool if gamerscore points let us buy something off of the market place. like themes and avatar stuff.

Achievements really suck people's life into thinking their achieving something. you are awfully malicious against those with a high gamerscore, it almost sounds like you have a chip on your shoulder...having an opinion is what is a lot is fine, but there is no need to insult someone for their specific passion in their hobbyyou guys should check out if you have not yet, a site called xbox360achievements.org

im at 33222 so far and my fourth 360,it would be around 70000 if i had all my score on the same gamertag but my first 3 were offline profiles, also i play my ps3 a lot so that eats much gaming time,in have had a 360 since launch though so i do have a life too and a ten year old son that hogs the games all weekend.i think 200.000+ is either really sad or cheated, more likely the latter
