for monthly it is $8 for three months it is $20 and a year is $50 but in every xbox 360 there is a free 1 month trial

I think its $60 a year for Gold in North America. I dont know about other places.

Silver is free.

Much better to have Gold though.

Basically, it is so cheap that you shouldn't even be thinking of a price. For what Live offers, the price is so miniscule that you'd have to be either poor or foolish not to subscribe to the service.

If you can afford a 360 and to support a collection of games, you can definitely afford Live. It costs you less for a year of Live than it does to buy a new game.
