I run my 360 24/7 without a cooler. If mine would have screwed up it would have long ago i assume. If it does screw up i will go buy another. Screw waiting for the repair place.

Sometimes I have my system on all day. Playing games, watching movies, and etc. You can have it on as long as you want. Just give it breathing room.

get rid of the cooler.
i know it depends partially on brand, but they mess up the fans, AND your power supply. google it.
your best bet is to keep the system on its side for the best airflow. or prop it up on some legos. (on the side) to get even more.
but dont use the cooler. trust me.

Maybe for a few months then your xbox will mess up becuse u put the cooler on the xbox. the intercool f's up the xbox 360. take it off and put it on the ground and stomp on it and then set it on fire becuse its the devil. it kills the xbox. the xbox will stay in good shape as long u keep it in an opean space like on top your tv or on the floor. inclose places mess up your xbox 360. as long up keep it in a opean area you dont have nothing to worry about.

Yeah just make sure you prop it up someone but don't cover the whole side of the system. Should be fine then.

yeah.. they charge like 20 bucks for that piece o' crap intercooler, when they put like 2 dollar fans in it, pretty much making the thing worth around 5 bucks, and it does nothing except make your system sound like a f*cking vacuum

If you don't put it in a confined space it should last a while, and I find that having it stand vertically gives it a better air flow and it takes up less space by my tv.

way around using intercooler.

-don't place it on carpet

-lots of space around the console so it can breathe. resting on its side is best as the power supply is located neat the bottom rear corner.

-incoolers are money grabbers. they even made one for Ps3 and one soon coming for Wii...none have reported overheating issues...such a waste of money!

-Use things like Ceramic tiles to place your 360 on. Something thats cold to the touch like metal, Porcelin, glass, etc...
