I only purchase a game when it is one I have been waiting for. I usually wait until the reviews come out, check the user site, and watch the preview video before I make my final decision to pick up a game.
I don't just buy games because I have money. I'll probably buy Lost Odyssey sometime soon, and GTAIV. That's all I can think of for now. Maybe Vegas 2 when it has a price drop.
I have not bought a 360 game in a little while, I have just been renting and completing them off gamefly, gamefly is sooo much better than blockbuster, or buying games.. I mean if you just beat the game and stop playing it, the next 360 game Im getting is Grand Theft Auto IV, its the only game coming out that I know even after I beat it that I will keep playing it
For me it depends on what's out when. I got Bioshock in August, Halo 3 in September, Oblivion:goye n November for my birthday...but this month I've picked up Turok, Devil May Cry 4, Burnout Paradise and Lost Odyssey. And that's just for the 360. I have way too many games for the Wii and DS I still have to play through.
i can afford to get about 2 a month as well, but that doesn't mean i do. i only buy games when i see one that interests me. i haven't bought any for over a month, and the only one's i'll be getting soon are MLB 2K8 (most likely) and rainbow six vegas 2, and of course GTA IV, because as one user said after i beat that game i know i'll still be playing it witthout a doubt.
If i want it, i get it sometimes i'll go 2/3 months without a game, other times i'll pick up 4 games in a week (record is 10, when i 1st got the old 360)
as often as good games come out, as long as i can afford it. last summer i got one 360 game (bioshock) because that's really all that was out, but in the last five days i've bought both Assassin's Creed and Lost Odyssey, and i hope to get Devil May Cry 4 next week.
