Why is it that COD4 has a mature rating and all the others are teen? Is it bloodier or something? I just noticed this and thought it was odd because I remember the others being teen? Any inputs?

It's bloodier? I didn't even notice.MyopicCanadian
Shoot the terrorist with the hostage on Mile High Club and you can tell that there is a lot of blood splatter compared to the other CoDs (which wasn't much at all).
It's a lot more bloodier. My friend and I were able to shoot a guy's arm off at one point...Cheesypoofs46
really? never achieved that one:S
and yeas Cod4 has a slight increase of blood. the language is kinda the same tho. btw the PEGI rating is still the same which is 16+.

It happened in a flashback of Captain Price 15 years ago when he tried to snipe Imran Zakhaev and he could only shoot Imran's arm because of the wind. And oh yes, it has quite more strong language, not yet the F word but still strong enough to be an "M" game. The blood is much bloodier.
I have it and Im 16it's too matrue for you since you are asking about...which can only mean you're under 17 years of age, and trying to get it somehow....

The game is M for mature but i think there is a very wide range in the same rating

Raze-boi just explained when and where you shoot the guy's arm off. If you don't believe me watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4aXV1AziVXw
honestly it should still be rated T cuz it not a Gears of War or even a Halo 3 when it comes to adult content.
there is a little blood when u kill someone but isnt that in ever CoD game ?? ocassionally u'll hear "damn" or "we just got our asses kicked" but no real curse words if u ask me... all in all there is nothing in the game a 13 yr old kid hasnt seen or heard plenty of before.
The language fits modern times instead of 60 years ago (although still pretty mild) and it's slightly more gory although I believe they have a setting to turn it off.
I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that it's in a modern, fictional context instead of a more historical context because it's really not that much worse than COD2/3.

Has ANYONE played the single-player?
Oh, and if you're not keen on the blood you can turn that off in the game options. I wish more games had that option, I don't like blood.

Sniper level. It's scripted. Anyway I didn't notice this game really being much worse than the others. if they were gonna get an M rating anyway they should've upped the gore. I love gore.
