I gotta tell that the hosts are tombout on player's match. When I did so good helping my team out. The host kicks me out because they most likely got jealous of me. So I played another player's match and the hosts kicks me out again for no apparent reason. I guess Gears really isn't that convinent on player's match with this much stupid hosts interfering with your enjoyment.
This may just be a strange coincidence, but I tend to have a lot more fun when either a UK player is host, or the majority of players in the match are from the UK. Almost every time I play in a match (Player or Ranked) with a US host, I will get cursed at or kicked out for either killing them or chainsawing/grenade tagging (mostly for getting the achievement, but sometimes because it's the only weapon I had at the time), even though I noticed the host doing the same thing in the previous round. I would just suggest to be patient and keep looking for good people to play with -- they're out there.....especially in the UK ;)

Agreed, but I have more of a problem with people trash-talking in the game. When they go too far, I feel it just doesn't make the game fun anymore -- regardless of who is winning the match. As long as the trash-taking doesn't get out of hand, I can tolerate it.

some hosts are jerks. I had my chainsaw reved to get someone meanwhile the host downs him before I could get him but I was so close to him right after he got downed I accidentally took the kill. The host got so mad and was cursing me out and me and some other guy were like "dude, chill out you have all the achievements, just play the game no one cares" and he goes "No one cares huh?" and ends the game.

I'm good, but only as good as my team. so emo. *cues dashboard confessional* i think gears of war has a somewhat random and unfair multiplayer as it is, and when tentions get hot when some "noob" grenade tags the "pwn master of pewpewpew pwnage headshot awesomeness" who happens to be the host, there tends to be issues.

Just stating my experience :) -- I have lots of US players on my friend's list who are great to play with...I just have lots more who are from the UK, lol.
I have no problem with swearing, actually (even when someone will swear non-stop -- I usually find it hilarious for some reason). The problem I have is when people make it their job to hurl personal insults at another player for no other reason than to either distract them/get them to leave/get them riled up. Those kind of people tend to forget that this is just a game, and that they would have more fun if people wanted to play with them.

Oh, I know. Most of my friends (well the ones I actually play with) on Xfire are from Canada or the UK as well.

The only way for a noob to get better is to play with someone better than them. Even the most leet sucked at one time and worked there way up.

I rarely get kicked from a game, but sometimes maybe once every other day I do get kicked out for no reason at all I'm not sure why. Most host rooms I play in I usually get friend request from them so I always have alot of rooms to go in without having to get kicked for unknown reasons. I know for a fact that I get kicked most of the time because I end up slaughtering the opposing team with my shotty...aw well it's all good just join another room I suppose.

hahaha that was funny.. well i get kick out cause i was usin pistols so i just never use pistol unless i see other players usin pistols.. and well i got kick out like 2 times in gears haha.. all the host/ friends was in US.. and their nice and kool..
my experience is that the people who most trash talk and bother alot are the UK players they talk trash and call me a stupid american (im not even american)

i hate it when i get kicked out for beingf the best on my team. i really don't care if the host says hes gonna have o boot me because a friend has to join, but when i have 7 kills and the rest of my team has like 3 kills combined and i get randomly booted in the middle of a round, it really piss's me off. boot someone whos not giving you a challenge you ****
Gears lost its touch after two weeks for me when it first came out. There's really nothing else you can do in that game. Playing with only 8 ppl online sucks balls. If it were a real next gen title, it would have done more. Vegas was that game. I bought vegas shortly after GoW and never looked back. Seriously, the disk is collecting dust.
