Honestly, you should be happy that she'll get one for you for your birthday. My parents would never just buy me a $400 piece of hardware for no occasion, and even for my birthday or christmas thats asking a lot. I don't really have any advice for you other than be patient and thankful.RipaX21
This. I agree. All I can say is hope for the best and be on your best behavior and all that! ^_^ You never know. Money is tight now and days. But thats off topic. lol.
My parents almost wouldn't let me buy one with my own money.
I would just wait for your birthday. Until then, play flash games, or whatever system you have for the moment.
Oh hey kid.... here's one way you may be able to get one now.... if you're a little liar!!
Tell your parents that the 20GB Xbox's are on sale for $299 (they are) but that they only have a few left and then there will only be the 60GB ones which are..... say $400-$500 so they should get you a 20GB one ASAP!!!!!!!! Throw in the fact that you'll take it as your Xmas and Birthday presents and maybe they'll fall for it. You know you'll still get something at Xmas time.... probably a couple of games actually!

good idea man i always used to pull swindles like that. and realisticly 400$ is not a lot for a parent figure adult this year ive had to pay reant and eat plus drop money on bars i still managed to buy myself a 36o a wireless adapter a gold subscription games a 27inch flatscreen hd tv 400 (insignia) a 600 dollar sound system and a laptop all on minimum wage dishwashing so im sure your rents can afford to drop four bills on you you just gotta convince them right

Be patient. Sheesh
i already have a ps2,ps3 but i want a 360. should i sell my ps2?zorgz
Yeah, sell it if you can. It has a huge library of games, but do you actually play them... and if you have the backwards compatible PS3, you dont need it anyways.

well, I had to but mine with my own money. just be patient, man. or try to raide some money. then ask them to go halfsies on the price.
that's seems pretty logocal to me.
Try the jedi mind trick.
If you are a little low on mitocholrian in your system, then see if you can do some extra work around the house and see if they will meet you half way and get you the 360 early. I used to do that with my parents. I would do all the chores I could for me and the neighbors, and try to be on your best behavior till you get it.

yeah thats a pretty good idea. i sold all my ps2 stuff to put it towards my 360 and i dont care about playing those games i had, cuz i can buy the better newer versions on 360. and yah if u can do backwards compatibility, then just sell the ps2, gamestop gave me $48 for it, with memory card, no controllers
you stupid **** i aint no snot kid trust me.zorgz
lol if ur not a kid, why did u just call him that, not very nice, should just explain lol
I usually ask for something after the semester, so it will kinda be a reward for passing the sem.
be patient

Trade in some other consoles and games you might have and mow neighbours lawns or wash cars or something for cash.Chirag6
my sister just traded in her gamecube,ds and about 10 to 15 games for her ds and maybe 5 to 10 for her gamecube and got 236 dollars and got a wii for notthing with a game we got this deal at gamestop if u trade in 2 games u get an extra 5 dollars per one
I told my parents that I was interested in video game development (I really am) and that the xbox 360 offers the microsoft xna launcher, which allows you to program and create games using your 360 in tandem with your pc. As soon as I said that, my parents immediately offered to cover the cost of my elite.
Of course, it also helped that at the time, I had saved up enough money for a premium and a few games... so I wasn't exactly planning on freeloading but since my parents wanted to have a hand in helping me develop my interests and possible future career they were more than happy to support me.
and then of course I could use that money I saved to actually buy that 1-year membership for microsoft xna, which is like 100 bucks a year~
