How to disable remote control for XBOX360?

I am playing DDR and I keep getting screwed up by remote controller. Is there a way to block all remote control for XBOX360?

like others i am slightly lost but if there is another controller connected turn it off or maybe when you turn the game or system on are you standing on the mat if so get off
