Ok...i have the premium 360, i have both component and Vga cable . My LCD max is 1080i.

I am just wondering which cables can display up to 720p/1080i?

If Vga, then what is the setting resolution ?(# x #)

If Component, how do adjust? 720p or 1080i? how do we know which one is being displayed?

Thnx you

Depends on your TV/Monitor... If it's an LCD, then the standard resolution should be 720p ( which is 1280 x 720 ) or 768p ( 1366 x 768 ). Companies usually advertise their TV's as 1080i TV's to trick people into thinking it's better because it's a higher number but always play on your normal resolution. As for adjusting it to your native resolution, just change your settings in your 360 menu and your TV should flicker and switch automatically. :) And both VGA and Component can display 1080i... Just make sure to choose the resolution closer to your TV's...

grab a bat, spin 1080 degrees clockwise, and bash your tv and maybe it'll turn into a beautiful woman.

Yeah, there are no 1080i LCDs, only progressive, which means 720p,768p and 1080p. Though, it's common for most HDTVs to support all types of resolution inputs, that means 1080i. Reason be, you got 1080i tv shows, 1080i camcorders and so on, it's all for compatiblity. And with LCD, when you give it to 1080i, it converts it to 720p, or deinterlaces to 1080p.
