How to downgrade from Gold to Silver?

Hello, I've had problems with my credit cards recently and I was wondering how can I downgrade form Xbox Live Gold to Silver? When I check in the memberships tab, it says that I don't have any memberships to choose from.

it's a little tricky... I tried to do it myself on the console to no avail. But... if you go on the website... there's a account management... and you can cancel your subscription and get the silver.

Guess microsoft doesn't want to lose the money... so they'll make it as hard as possible for you to unsubscribe their service.
