how to fix ruined xbox 360 disk??

does anyone know how to fix/get working a disc that got scratched from moving the 360 around while game played, my guitar hero 3 is ruined some idiot moved my 360

I took my disk to a used CD / Video game store and had it fixed for $5 bucks.

I go to a place called GameCrazy and they re-surface it for 1 dollar, but usually free because they don't care
