Well, I asked the same question in another topic, but no luck, so I'm asking here, again. :p

I want to know the best way to place my 360, should I place it horizontaly, or vertically?

People say when you place it vertically it has a harder time reading the disc and it might jam, but when you place it horizontaly it will heat up more often.... I just can't decide which would be the best way to place it so it will work properly, and not get harmed because of the way I'm placing it...

Tell me how you place it, and if you've had any problems with it heating up faster in a certain way, and your experiences with that sort of stuff.

diagonally! seriously, I put mine horizontal, I hear it's better b/c this way the disc is easier to read.

Place it verticall, in a nice open area. DO not place it anywhere were there is too compact and no space. Also try to avoid placing on carpet. Mine is place on wood since their is only 1 room with carpet in my house. Also area were is cool.

@ Coolduel - GTFO these forums if all you're going to do is spam.

Alright, so I guess I'll place it vertically, but the problem is the place with my TV is carpeted, and if I put it in the little thing on which my TV is on and has my DVD player and what not, it will be in a cramped area, so what should I place it on so it's not on carpet?

I dont know. Carpet just keeps the heat and it makes the 360 worst. Maybe rearrange somethings if not just place it on the carpet for now and think of something.

mine is horizontal on the box, but I would not put it vertically on the box, too unsteady.

How long have you had it like that, any problems?

I was going through another topic and it seemed like most people place it horizontaly, but the people who place it vertically apparently don't have heating problems, and very few of them, only 1 or 2 have RRoD

well, my 360 has burned out twice now. i recommend that you buy a fan for it [NOT THE INTERCOOLER!!] and make sure it gets plenty of ventilation. i bought the Psyclone Chill Station for it, which is basically like the old school PS2 vertical stand, only it has a built in fan. i definitly recommend it. it gives a sturdy stand for the 360 and blows air straight into it. great ventilation and keeps it nice and cool.
